Join the alliance

The goal of the alliance is to get more people cycling in Milton Keynes. To do this, we bring together voluntary organisations with businesses and public sector organisations which have common interest in promoting cycling. See more about the alliance vision, actions and wins so far.

Becoming an annual member, sponsor or partner helps support our work putting Milton Keynes on the map, and brings with it the various benefits outlined below.

Member – £500 per year

  • Promotion Increase in number of staff and/or customers cycling through annual meeting with Organiser to identify barriers and plan implementation of best practice solutions.
  • Profile – Contribution to decisions of the alliance at AGM and quarterly strategic meetings of the alliance; opportunity to host alliance meetings and Mayor’s Cycling Awards.
  • Invitations – Access to competitions between member institutions to encourage more individuals to cycle, and other events and networking of the alliance; regular meetings with Cycling Community Organiser.
  • Training – discounted Bikeability training for cyclists; access to local and national Citizens UK Leadership Training.
  • Bike maintenance & repair – Discount on Cycling Saviours services , e.g. Dr. Bike repairs (subject to timings and availability) TBC.
  • Website – Expanded website listing; name, address, website, phone number, description with one photo & logo (subject to design and supply of high res format).
  • Social media – Access to social media promotion, dedicated posts; small articles posted to news feed; ability to cross-promote to other alliance members and their staff; logo on email signature.

Business Sponsor – £500-£5,000 per year

  • Promotion Increase in number of staff and/or customers cycling through termly meeting with Organiser to identify barriers and plan implementation of best practice solutions.
  • Profile – Sponsor of mass rides, competitions and other events, e.g. Cycling Santas, Egg Hunt Ride, Carnival Ride, Bikeability Olympics; to achieve corporate social responsibility goals, e.g. stewardship of the environment (fighting climate change), tackling economic inequality (access to bikes and safe cycle parking), equal opportunity (gender, access), health and wellbeing (including community integration).
  • Invitations – Invitation to advise at AGM and quarterly strategic meetings, also other events and networking of the alliance; regular meetings with Cycling Community Organiser.
  • Training – discounted Bikeability training for cyclists; access to local and national Citizens UK Leadership Training.

Strategic Partner – £5,000+ per year

  • Profile – Funder of strategic projects, e.g. Business Engagement, School Engagement, Mayor’s Cycle Chariot & Championship, towards vision of as innovative, diverse, fun, healthy, sustainable and thriving.
  • Invitations – Invitation to AGM and quarterly strategic meetings and other events and networking of the alliance; regular meetings with Cycling Community Organiser.
  • Website – Expanded website listing; name, address, website, phone number, description, with multiple photos & logos (subject to design and supply of high res format); feature in image carousel on alliance home page.
  • Social media – Access to social media promotion, dedicated posts and direct mailout to alliance database; articles posted to news feed; ability to cross-promote to alliance members and their staff; logo on email signature.
  • Discounts – Discount on Bikeability Training and Cycling Saviours services , e.g. Dr. Bike repairs (subject to timings and availability) TBC.
