The Schools Poster Competition was launched at Summerfield Primary School on 24th May 2017. See news story.
Participating primary schools are: Great Linford, Jubilee Wood, St. Monica’s Catholic, Summerfield, Tickford Park.
Prizes are:
- Winner: Apple iPad,
- 1st Runner up: Apple iPad (lesser spec)
- 2nd Runner up: Kindle
Judging Criteria – The Judging Panel comprises people who are independent of the Fight Against Hate Crime Campaign team.
4 of the 7 entries received from each school will be shortlisted as finalists and will be exhibited in the Open University Library from 12th – 19th July. All finalists, plus 1 parent/guardian may accompany the representative from each participating school to the prize giving event.
The prize giving event will be held at the Betty Boothroyd Room, The Open University, 10.00-11.30am (arrival from 9.30) on Wednesday 19th July.
This prize giving event is expected to be well attended with officials from around Milton Keynes, including:
- The Council
- Arriva Buses
- Thames Valley Police
- Other organisations involved in the Fight Against Hate Crime campaign.
Up to 20 pupils from each school can visit the poster exhibition on 12th , 13th , 14th July and again on 17th , 18th July. Please contact my colleague Simone Arthur to arrange, simone.arthur@open.ac.uk.
We also expect to hear a song or two from the excellent Summerfield Primary School Choir.
