The Annual Meeting in September reviews last year’s performance, sets the strategy for the year ahead and approves the budget. It also agrees the membership of the Leadership Group and commissions up to eight Chapter Delegates to CUK Council, plus accounts of their work in the previous year.
The Annual Meeting includes a Hearing about issues of social injustice which are currently experienced in Milton Keynes. The aim is to bring these issues to the attention of our members so they may find out more about them in listening campaigns within their institutions. All leaders of member and non-member institutions, and members of the public, are welcome to attend and hear short testimonies.
There is no requirement for those present to take any further action from the hearing. The hope is simply that, better informed about issues that others are experiencing, the leaders of our member institutions are moved to think differently and use one or more of these issues as a focus for their institutional listening campaigns.
